Like many modern love stories, Liam and Madeleine’s story starts with a dating app. After swiping right, the two started to get to know each other through texting exchanges and soon in person over espresso martinis at Caffe Vittoria in Boston’s North End. After their first date, Madeleine texted her sisters saying that she believed she just had her first date with her future husband. And, wouldn’t you know it, she was right!


Madeleine and Liam started spending a lot of time together, separated only by a short walk between their North End and Charlestown apartments.
They found that they shared many things in common; one that was particularly special was growing up spending summers at Lake Winnipesaukee — a place they now visit together. Since becoming official, they have found a combined passion in traveling to create memorable adventures together. They’ve shared experiences together in places like New Orleans, Montreal, London, and the Mediterranean. While they love to travel and explore new places together, they equally share happiness in a cozy fall/winter night at home with their puppy dog, Tatum, drinking wine and watching Jeopardy or the Celtics.


Liam and Madeleine are two independent people who enjoy spending time with their respective friend groups. However, when they are together, they are inseparable, like two peas in a pod, constantly laughing and making each other smile. Madeleine was ecstatic, yet not surprised, that on June 30th, 2024 Liam got down on one knee and proposed. She was so full of love and happiness, reminiscing on their past and future adventures together, that without hesitation she replied “Of course I’ll marry you!”
